Hi Sherry - thanks for your feedback and I completely see where you're coming from. My articles always do come from real entrepreneurs/events, some that I know personally, others I may know secondhand or know of; however, I only name the person/business if #1 I've discussed the article with them and gotten their permission and #2 it's relevant or crucial to know of the particluar business to understand the message of the article. I typically attempt to make the messages relevant to a wide variety of companies/industries, so I wouldn't want to paint any article as a one-off that only applies to that business (unless that truly is the case). Additionally, I'm privy to non-public information about many businesses I know or have worked with, so while I can reference the events vaguely/without detail, it would be a breach of confidentiality to offer more specifics or name the company. That said, if you're ever curious which business or entrepreneur the article is referencing, you can leave me a private note and I can let you know (for example, with this one, if you leave me a private note, I have no problem telling you who it is, since this one doesn't reveal material non-public information and wasn't a client or close friend of mine).
