Totally appreciate you shedding light on the flip side of the very over-hyped "be your own boss" coin - though as an entrepreneur and startup consultant myself, I think one of your points deserves a caveat:

When you mention the idea of retiring with a pension and the low likelihood that most entrepreneurs will hit it out of the park and be able to retire in their 30s, I'd like to posit that this shouldn't be the goal for the people who should be destined for an entrepreneurial career. Personally, I don't ever want to retire - I don't ever want to stop starting or working with new ventures. That's where I get my fulfillment, and I believe the people who will thrive long-term in an entrepreneurial career would likely feel the same. If someone's goal in starting a business is to hit the jackpot of a liquidity event and retire to mimosas on a beach forever, they'd probably be better suited for a more direct and guaranteed path to retirement and financial success than entrepreneurship.
